Some reviewers complain that the battery sticks out, thus making case fitting difficult. This is a valid complaint, and Dell should definitely provide dimensions & a warning that the battery extends beyond the notebook (perhaps even a visual representation).

However, it does not mean that the product itself is bad! It’s got 3 more cells than the standard Dell vostro 1700 battery…where else can they put them if the battery isn’t enlarged! You’re already lugging a monster-sized notebook computer - a battery that sticks out is a small sacrifice for someone who wants the extended run time!

The battery sticks out from the notebook making it difficult to fit in a carrying case. I ordered the 9 cell when I ordered the computer. Now I am ordering a 6 cell to replace the 9 cell in order to get it to fit in my bag. Poor design if you ask me.

I bought this product admittedly without reading carefully enough through the product description: I took myself to be buying an original Dell laptop battery. When it arrived, it did not fit quite perfectly into my computer; it took an unhappy amount of force to get it situated. My computer (an Inspiron 1520) did indeed recognize the battery without any problem. However, it does not seem to power the computer for as long as my original Dell battery did, which would last for almost 6 hours when it was new. Perhaps this is because I have not yet “trained” the battery. But after the first charge and deplete and recharge, my battery meter now tells me that the freshly charged battery is good for about 4 and a half hours. That’s not quite as good as I was hoping.

The CPU is the portion of a computer system that carries out the instructions of a computer program, and is the primary element carrying out the computer’s functions. The processor is essentially the brain of the Dell Inspiron E1405 Battery laptop , with faster processors leading to faster computing time. So if our laptop CPU failed, our laptop can not start and work. We must remove the CPU and replace a new one. Sometimes the old version CPU can not afford our working and playing work, the laptop become very slowt then we should replace them.

Follow these instructions before beginning.

• Remove the CPU thermal cooling system
• NOTE: To prevent damage to the Dell Inspiron E1505 Battery CPU, hold the screwdriver so that is perpendicular to the lever of the CPU when turn the screw off.
• To loosen the ZIF socket, use a small screwdriver and rotate the ZIF socket cam screw counterclockwise until it comes to CAM-Stop.

NOTE: To play the maximum cooling of the CPU , do not touch the heat transfer areas of dell vostro 1000 battery CPU thermal cooling assembly. The oils of your skin, can reduce the ability of transfer heat from a heating pad.

NOTE: When removing the CPU, pull the module up. Be careful not to bend the pins of the CPU.

• Lift the CPU ZIF socket.

Replacing the CPU

NOTE: Do not touch the CPU die. Press and hold down the CPU on the substrate mounted by the dice, while the screw to prevent intermittent contact between the screw and the CPU.

NOTE: Make sure the cam lock in the fully open position before inserting the Dell Inspiron E1705 Battery CPU. Be the CPU correctly in the ZIF socket does not require force. A CPU is not positioned correctly can result in a dropped connection or permanent damage to the microCPU and ZIF socket.

• Pull the ZIF socket by turning the screw clockwise to the CPU, to ensure secure CPU to the motherboard.
• Replace the laptop battery CPU cooling thermal assembly (see Replacing the Cooling Assembly CPU heat).
